When the original Rockford Historical Museum opened in 1976, and when it was moved and expanded in 2013, the leaders of the Rockford Area Historical Society approached the challenge confidently with the knowledge that this has always been a community that responded when a genuine need was recognized. 

 

        Since the new                opened, the need for funds has increased dramatically due to expanded hours

        and increased demand for services.  

 

                                               THERE IS NEVER A CHARGE FOR MUSEUM ADMISSION,

                                                      HISTORICAL SOCIETY PROGRAMS, OR SERVICES.

                                                 Donations of any size are always sincerely appreciated.

 

There are a variety of ways to help. 

Here are some of those options.

 

Membership in the RAHS:  Check the "Historical Society" page of this website to see the membership options.  There is one just right for you.

A One Time or Annual Donation  These additions to a regular membership provide some needed extra help to the RAHS.  They are sincerely appreciated.  The future of the RAM depends on the support of those of us who value and appreciate this

great community and its heritage.

Pledges:  To make a large donation you may want to consider a pledge that will allow you to make the donation over a period of three or five years

Sponsor an exhibit or obtain Exhibit Room naming rights:  Naming and sponsorship rights are available. Contact us for details.

Remember us in your will:  We know you have many ways you would like to share your assets after your death. We would be honored if you could consider us in those plans. 

Memorials:  What better way to honor a loved one who had strong Rockford area roots?  Their name will be connected with the area and the RAHS forever.

Donations in lieu of flowers:  If, instead of flowers that will soon be gone and forgotten, you think a loved one who has passed would rather have you honor them in a way that will also help preserve the heritage of our great community, please consider a donation to the Rockford Area Historical Society and Museum in lieu of flowers and urge others to do the same.
